Subex’s response to COVID-19

Privacy Policy

In the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety and well-being of all our stakeholders is of utmost priority for us. Subex has been closely monitoring the developments around the world and is following the advice of local governments and the World Health Organization to help flatten the curve.

During these testing times, we understand the need to be fully transparent about the various measures we have taken, and the consequences of the situation. This page is aimed at providing answers to some of the common questions we receive from our stakeholders.

What is subex’s immediate response to ensure business continuity?

As an organization enabling critical operations for customers in over 90 countries, our objective is to ensure the minimal business impact of the COVID-19 situation to our customers, while safeguarding our employees’ health at the same time. Towards this, we have a robust Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in place, and we have invoked certain aspects of it like ‘Work from home’, over the last few weeks. We will continue to operate in the BCP mode until the situation becomes more conducive for regular operations.

Are Subex’s offices operational?

Considering the current circumstances, for the safety of our employees and also abiding by the advice from local authorities, all of our offices are operating with Subexians working from home with a handful of critical internal IT operations team on standby in case they need to be in office for any IT network emergencies. As an organization with a progressive work culture, we have been enabling remote working and collaboration for Subexians for many years now. However, this is the first time we had to enforce 100% work from home, and we managed to do it without any impact to our customer operations.

Are there travel restrictions for Subexians?

As of March 12th, all business travel has been put on hold globally. As far as private travel goes, employees are required to follow instructions from their local authorities and are mandated to declare their travel history before resuming work.

How are customers responding to these actions?

We are grateful to say that majority of our customers have been extremely cooperative and are fully supporting our operations in a BCP mode. That said, there is a lot of effort from every Subexian right from front level to management, to ensure that the effect of this phase is minimal to our customers.

CEO’s letter to customers (Dated March 16th, 2020)

Dear Customer,

As you would agree, the recent developments due to COVID-19 has led to an atmosphere of uncertainty, resulting in disruption that most organizations had not foreseen. We sincerely hope that you, your family, and your colleagues are safe and unaffected by this pandemic.

At Subex, we are very clear about our priorities in such a situation, and that is to ensure minimal cascading effect of this disruption to our customers, while ensuring the safety and well-being of Subexians; our employees. Towards this, we have a robust multi-faceted Business Contingency Plan (BCP) in place that will ensure the continuity of all critical functions even in case of emergencies.

With governments across the globe taking precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, which includes the closure of offices in affected areas, our aim is to ensure that operations are not affected even if such a situation arises in locations where our offices are situated. As we gear up to move into a BCP mode, we are looking at enabling remote working and collaboration of Subexians until the situation improves. This will ensure continuity of work without endangering the safety of Subexians worldwide.

While invoking the Work from Home element of BCP, we will strive to maintain business as usual from an operations standpoint and limit the impact, if any, to a minimum to our external stakeholders. If there are any other changes, we will coordinate with your team and intimate accordingly. Further, there might be some additional support and cooperation needed from your end and based on the specific needs we will take it up with your team.

We believe that maintaining transparency is key in such situations, and towards this we assure you that our teams will be in constant touch with you to keep you posted about any further developments. We also request you to kindly share this information with your team as required.

These are special situations that will test our resolve and also the strength of our partnership. As we gear up to handle any eventuality, we look forward to your help and support. We are confident that together with adequate precaution, we will overcome this situation with minimum impact and will emerge much stronger. Kindly let us know if you need any further information or clarification.

 Stay safe and take care.

Thanks and Regards,
